WTA Championships Will Remain in Madrid
The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour has no plans to move its season-ending Championships from Madrid, Spain come the 2007 tennis season. In fact, come 2007, the WTA Championships will see a record-breaking prize of $62 million along with:
62-event schedule that features a new tournament in Barcelona and a series of events in rapid growth markets for women’s tennis such as China, India and the Middle East that complement the Tour’s traditional strength in Europe and the United States.
Very, very nice.
Looking forward to next season!
