WTA Championships Semifinals, Finals Results
Justine Henin-Hardenne took her revenge against Amelie Mauresmo in the WTA Championship finals, defeating the Frenchwoman in two straight sets 6-4, 6-3. This came after a win against Maria Sharapova in the semifinals, 6-2, 7-6 (5).
I guess the unstoppable Sharapova was stoppable after all.
I’m sure it was a nice victory for Henin-Hardenne who had to stand in the second place spot beside Mauresmo twice this year.
The Belgian has successfully defended her recently acquired number one rank.
