WTA Championships: Results for November 9, 2006
Yesterday’s matches didn’t yield many surprises - at least not for me.
In the Yellow Group, Amelie Mauresmo proved that she’s not given up yet by defeating Martina Hingis 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.
Also in the Yellow Group, Justine Henin-Hardenne also made sure everyone knows she’s planning to hang tight to that number 1 rank, and defeated Nadia Petrova, 6-4, 6-4.
Over in the Red Group, Kim Clijsters defeated Svetlana Kuznetsova, 6-1, 6-1.
Belgium better be really proud of their two leading tennis ladies!
