Today’s matches and results are as follows.
Centre Court featured a match between Daniela Hantuchova and Justine Henin-Hardenne. Henin-Hardenne (no. 3) defeated no. 15, Hantuchova 6-3, 6-1, proving that the French Open winner is up and ready for the grass court.
Court 2 saw Maria Sharapova defeat Italian Flavia Pennetta 7-6, 3-6, 7-3.
Also on Court 2, Kim Clijsters defeated Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2, 6-2.
On Court 3, Elena Dementieva insured her pass to the next round with a 6-2, 6-0 defeat over Shenay Perry.
Meanwhile, Na Li defeated Nicole Vaidisova 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.
On Court 13, Anastasia Myskina defeated Jelena Jankovic 6-4, 7-6, and Severine Bremond defeated Ai Sugiyama 7-6, 6-3.
