UNC downs Maryland in 2OT
Erlana Larkins (right) led No. 4 North Carolina with 25 points and 18 rebounds as the Tar Heels scored 18 points in the second overtime to come away with a 97-86 victory over No. 3 Maryland.
The victory gives the Tar Heels control of the ACC as they are the only undefeated team in the conference. This victory certainly gets the bad taste of losing to No. 1 UConn out of their mouths and undoubtedly moves the Heels into third in the poll.
Saturday’s loss was the first since December for the Terrapins when they fell to then-No. 3 Rutgers.
