Well, the AP poll is still a few days away, but the ESPN/USA Today poll was released today and the defending champions were the near-consensus choice at No. 1.
Tennessee received 26 first-place votes while second-ranked UConn received four. Fifth-ranked LSU received one first-place vote. Here’s how the rankings came down.

Across the nation, groups of media members and sports info directors are voting on their respective pre-season polls. As the headline suggests, the defending NCAA Champion Lady Vols received all but two first-place votes by the SEC media members. LSU finished a distant second.
