Well, looks like the city of Seattle’s basketball outlook just keeps getting better and better.

Storm to hire Brian Alger from Silver Stars

Only because they love having 11 a.m. press conferences, the Seattle Storm will reportedly hire Brian Alger as their new head coach.
Alger, an assistant coach with the San Antonio Silver Stars,  previously was head coach of the Minnesota Lynx from 1999-2002.
Oh, yeah, the team got sold to a local ownership group, too.

The WNBA schedule is expected to be released today, but still no collective bargaining agreement.
Yep, there’s going to be an OIympic break this season (July 28 - August 27) and the season will go into October to compensate.
