Pierce, Williams, and Davenport Withdraw from Wimbledon
This year’s Wimbledon is losing stars all over the place. Serena Williams withdrew (knee problems), along with Lindsey Davenport (back injury), and now Mary Pierce has announced she’s pulling out due to a foot injury.
I was really disappointed that Mary Pierce pulled out of the French Open, now I’m even more disappointed that she’s pulling out of Wimbledon, too. But, I suppose an injured tennis player isn’t good to have on the court. So we’ll see how long before she returns.
