French Open First Round Results
Well, for some reason they started the French Open on a Sunday, which I wasn’t expecting. First round is now over with and here are the results from the women’s matches:
Maria Sharapova came out victorious in the first round of the French Open yesterday, beating Mashona Washington 6-2, 5-7, 7-5.
France’s own Amelie Mauresmo defeated Meghann Shaughnessy 6-4, 6-4.
Marion Bartoli defeated Aurelie Vedy 6-1, 6-0.
Ai Sugiyama beat Eleni Danilidou 6-7 (1), 6-0, 6-3.
Patty Schnyder defeated Michaelia Krajicek 6-1, 6-2.
Iveta Benesova defeated Pauline Parmentier 7-5, 6-3.
Dinara Safina defeated Vera Zvonareva 6-3, 7-5.

Why the regular T.V. stations don’t show more of the tennis matches like all the other sports that they broadcast constantly, and why should we pay the Tennis Channel to watch the games?
