Down goes No. 1
Well, it couldn’t last forever, I guess.
Epiphanny Prince (above) scored 33 points as Rutgers knocked off No. 1 UConn 73-71 Tuesday evening.
Even crazier, she scored 27 in the second half, and according to the AP, it was Rutgers’ first victory over a top-ranked opponent during the regular season since beating LSU on Jan. 5, 2005.
No. 7 Rutgers was down by 9 at halftime to UConn, which lost for the first time in 34 consecutive regular-season games.
