2. Justine Henin-Hardenne

3. Maria Sharapova

6. Kim Clijsters

8. Martina Hingis

9. Patty Schnyder

10. Dinara Safina

Kim Clijsters has had quite the drop from the #2 spot - ouch! Despite the numerical jumping the players have been at, I’m amazed that Mauresmo has managed to hold on to the #1 spot. Of course, with Justine Henin-Hardenne breathing down her neck at #2, Mauresmo’s a bit lucky that the Belgian was out of commission for a while.

Also, Sharapova is having a pretty good year so far. She just beat Bychkova in the Kremlin Cup and is off to the quarterfinals.

Let’s see what the rest of the season brings.
