Clay Bennett selling Seattle Storm

Looks as though the Storm will be staying in Seattle.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer is reporting that a local ownership group is purchasing the Seattle Storm from Clay Bennett.

The Seattle Storm is staying put. A local ownership group has bought the WNBA franchise from Clay Bennett and his Oklahoma City-based group, a source with knowledge of the negotiations told the Seattle P-I on Monday night.

WNBA Prez Donna Orender will hold a press conference tomorrow, according to the P-I. If there’s a stream of it, I’ll find it and link to it for those who wish to view the presser.
