I hope you got to watch the Shooting Stars competition, because it might have been the last time you see Swin Cash in Detroit Shock swag.
A report from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer (based off a report in the Detroit Free Press) states Cash expects to be traded to the Seattle Storm when free agency begins on […]

While I haven’t really mentioned it here, I have a crush on Ruth Riley. Since I become a follower of the WNBA, I’ve always thought she was very attractive (not to mention a damn good baller) and the more I read about her and her activism, the more I think she’s a pretty nice person, […]

As the NBA prepares to travel to New Orleans for All-Star Weekend, WNBA.com sat down with Los Angeles Sparks guard and Louisiana native Temeka Johnson to talk about her memories of Hurricane Katrina and how her family was affected.
“I was in Washington, D.C., sitting in my living room watching it unfold on […]

I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for the NBA’s All-Star Saturday Night.
My favorite competition is the Three-Point Shootout, but one of the events consistently gaining in popularity is the Shooting Stars competition, which brings together a NBA star, a WNBA star and a NBA legend.
This year’s field includes:
Defending Shooting Stars champion Detroit, including Shock star […]

So during the downtime, I received an e-mail press release that I thought you dear readers would want to know about.
Approximately 4,000 college referees will begin wearing pink and using pink whistles starting today in support of the Kay Yow Fund, which I touched upon earlier. The gesture is called “Calling For A Cure” and […]

First off, apologies from b5 as well as myself for the delay in updates. The server issues seem to have been resolved, so here’s the catch up on the blogs I wrote while offline.
The WNBA’s expansion draft went out without a hitch — so to speak — but there were two surprising moves made by […]

Well, it couldn’t last forever, I guess.
Epiphanny Prince (above) scored 33 points as Rutgers knocked off No. 1 UConn 73-71 Tuesday evening.
Even crazier, she scored 27 in the second half, and according to the AP, it was Rutgers’ first victory over a top-ranked opponent during the regular season since beating LSU on Jan. 5, 2005.
No. […]

So by now you’ve surely heard, but since I’m a goober, here’s a late recap of the new rules adopted by the league for the upcoming WNBA season.
- The inbounding rule will permit a player to pass the ball anywhere (frontcourt or backcourt) on the court during the final minute of the […]

So the expansion draft is a few days away, but what I really hate is that we won’t know who is protected essentially until the list of who joins the Atlanta Dream is announced.
According to the L, this is how this is going down:
The Dream will submit to the league the list of players selected […]
